Kid Chameleon

Chameleon is a game developed by SEGA and released straight to the Mega Drive/Genesis console in 1992. This classic-style platformer sets you the task of trekking through different levels beating obstacles and collecting items that give you surprising new powers. The game is made up of more than 100 levels, but you don't move through them linearly: as you forge ahead you can enter secret portals that take you from one level to another and jump over a bunch of other ones. To beat the whole game you actually have to get through at least 50 of the 100 full levels. Though your main character starts out as a boy whose sole skill is jumping really high and falling on enemies' heads to squash them, along the way you'll find a dozen suits that let you get new powers of all kinds. The ninja suit, for instance, lets you brandish a katana to eliminate enemies and obstacles, while the fly suit lets you jump higher and glide around the levels. The game makes up part of the so-called SEGA Forever line, a series of games for mobile devices officially released by the company that are identical in gameplay to the originals and offer the chance to customize the touch controls and even save your progress at any time. All are free-to-play, meaning you'll simply see a few ads in the start menu. Once you start playing there are no banners nor anything of the sort to slow down your gaming experience.
